I have noticed I can not post Pics on the Headlight section, so I am going to break the rules and do a headlight post on a Windshield thread till they can add attachments to the headlight section.
I have been doing a lot of lights without roughing up the sealer. I only use the "Diamond Clear Acrylic Compound" for a few minutes each just to remove the oxidized haze and the lights are new looking again. If I do not have to take the Sealer off I will not.
All I used was my new DeWalt right angle cordless drill.
Here is what they will look like for the new techs out there still learning the ropes or the ones thinking about getting into Headlight Restoring.

Those are some nice looking headlights, Don! I'll see what I can do about permissions for pic posting on the headlight section.

Adam

Thanks CK
I normaly will start off with an older white pad just to remove the tops oxy coat then switch out to a good white pad to do the rest of the polishing. It just saves on the pads.
Off Topic:
I just bought a DeWalt 1/4 impact driver, and I wish I bought that way earlier when I was building my horse shelter and tack room. what a difference this is going to make in the work around the house.
I am up to 6 batteries now for the DeWalt.
Need more toys, I mean tools.
Next two will be the hammer drill, and 6.5" cir saw. I have to be good to the family so I can get them to buy them for my B-day and X-mas. I will not let them know why I am sucking up at this time....
I learned this from the kidds, but I am starting out earlier than they would. I do need more sucking up..

Don,
The cordless battery impact drivers just started coming out a few (6 or 7) years ago. You just have to make sure that what ever you are working on you do not strip the screw (because of it's impact racheting power).
Since you have 6 batteries, keep in mind that sometimes it is possible (depending on the tools store) to purchase the tool by itself without the battery; which may save you some $$.

Frank
It does suck that I need to suck up to get things I want, But all my wife says is "OH, I wish I had this or that to make my life easier" While I am making this or that for her with my tools and I need to buy them my self.
Were is my cry towel? I need a moment alone in the shop................. OK I feel better, where was I?
CK
I was looking at the recon tools that come with out batteries and that will be my next buy as long as I am half way stocked up with batteries.
Starting this weekend:
I have metal studs and walls to put in my metal shop and the 1/4 impact driver will help big time.
Few weeks later:
deck rails on the porch to keep the grand baby from falling off.

Hey! I would like to ask you guys if someone can tell me exacty what doas the Headlight Restore System contains! I want to extend my business, but i consider buying a cordless power tool, so I want to see if it's worth buying the components of the System without the power tool. Thanks!

Andy,
I'd be happy to tell you the price of the system without the polisher, but I cannot post the price on the forum. Please call or e-mail me at Glass Technology website so I can help you.
I would post my e-mail to the board, but the last time that happened, there was tons of spam in my mailbox, and so I no longer display any e-mail addresses on the forum either.
The phone number is listed on our website.

Thank you for your answer! I understand the situation with the e-mail. But I don't really need the price of the system! I'd like you to tell me the contents of the system! You must have a list somewere. The thing is that I don't really need to buy all the things in the kit. I think I can find a cloth or other things like that between my stuff. I hope you understand what my point is. Please do that for me, if you can! Thanks a lot! (And please excuse my poor English)

I do understand what you're asking. We do have the full system available without the polisher, but you are also welcome to purchase the parts individually, but we do not publish the system contents publicly. Please call to get info, or provide me with your e-mail in a PM and I can e-mail it to you. Otherwise, there is a complete acrylic restoration section in our online catalog on our website. The system includes most of the items on that list in various quantities.
