I did not realize this forum was turning into an advertising board! But, while on the subject, GT makes an injector designed for verticle repairs. I've used it on many a vertical w/s with great results.

I also use the vertical injector from GT.
I just got done reading the Cinch manual, and I was not impressed at all. maybe they need to ad a forum on their web page. They sure are long winded trying to preach their product..... The cinch does not look like a cinch to use. SORRY DUDE's.
Maybe they are trying to see if it will get deleted by GT. The only thing I can say is do not feed into them if you are not intrested in it.......
GT is a lot simpler to use, and I DO NOT have any air in my breaks.
GT ROCKS :D :) :o

Eraser, do you work for the cinch?
I personally use Glass mechanix, and it works well even past vertical(bulls eye on inside of ws caused by errant projectile during panic stop). The cinch does work well but is alittle fussy to use, the Gt system works on the same basic principal as GM.

eraser do not work for cinch, He / She is cinch.
I received a PM from them yesterday bragging about them selves. That must give them the rights to take over the GT board preaching about their product.
Dave M,
Did you get a PM yesterday from me, It did not look like it was able to get out. It looked like it stayed in the out box. I could not get it to send.

Wsrgal,
I think the manner in which you and I and others read the eraser' post about vertical repairs are quite different! I understand his post to say that the "cinch" is the only tool on the market which can perform quality vertical repairs. This simply is not true. As you have read, others have had great success with vertical repairs using other equipment (Glass Technology, Glass Mechanix and Glass-Weld) to name a few.
I have not and will not bash or slam the "cinch" because I have never used it. However, to make the suggestion that only the "cinch" can perform quality vertical repairs.........well, I'll tell ya, my repairs against the "cinch" any day!!

Yes the cinch is a great tool, but for those of us who have our tools and are satisfied with them, we have no need to upgrade. The claims put forward by Mr Carl in his posts and on his site can sometimes be exagerated. Claiming to pull more than 28"'s of mercury is a blatent one(an absolute vacumm is 29.921 inchs of mercury at sea level, the highr the altitude the lower that number is to achieve a perfect vacumm), claiming that others don't create a vacumm, is also false. Claiming that air does not pass through resin is also false. The one I take the most issue with is that other systems take 25 mins or more to repair, When it takes me more than 20 mins start to finish(from the time I get out of my car to the time the customer payes the invoice) it's because the customer had many questions, wanted me to see his new pool, ect. The time my injector spends on the glass is usually less than 6 mins, that's fast enough for me. AMrketing one's good points is one thing, but putting down the competition is bad marketing in my books, when asked to compare one self to the competition it is best to say what one does better than to say what the others do worse.
Merci

I called Glass Technology. They said that the Spectrum system has an adapter that will allow it to work on verticle glass. Sounds like this adapter can be used with any spectrum user.
