If Eraser wants to pay for the plane fare I will take him on also...
Come on Eraser, it is a tax deduction. I can use the VP5000 with the reg. injector or the PRIZM, or I can use the 20 / 20 injector. Dave M will use the SPECTRUM and or what ever he has also...
I can do quanity of repairs, but I would rather do quality repairs. but they better look the same.
Eraser, Don't forget the hotel for the nite when you fly us out for the challange. I would love to have a night out on you.
See, we did not here about the challenge between manufactors till you said somthing on this site.... The Challenge is on with the GLASS TECHNOLOGY Reps, .............................. US....

You can also fly me in from Quebec, I am ready to take on the others with my Glass Mechanix equipment and resins, using the same resins for all breaks is counterproductive in my books. I know a lot of you use only one or 2 resins in your work, but I use 8 differernt resins, all are taylored to a specific break. As mentioned above I don't think the speed of the repair is as important as the quality, hence my use of different resins for differernt breaks. A star requires a differernt refraction index than a bulls eye to fool the eye, a crack as well requires different adhsion properties than both a crack or a bulls eye. The challenge might be more appropriate if you include a crack in the mix. Also if you want to compare apples to apples each company should provide there complete system, IE resins, lights, injectors, ect, and all kits should be in the same price range(ie: if one companies kit costs $2000 and the others costs $1000, the second should be able to provide 2 kits for the challenge, to level the playing field. Just my thoughts
I require about 4-5 days advance notice before flying out. mabey the next SEMA show would be a good place to do a repair challenge?
Merci

Sunshine wr,
I usually don't repeat what has been a PM to me, but in this case I see no harm. The message was "Let's have a contest".
I'd suggest going to Glassprosystems.com and see for yourself what is said regarding another manufacturer and Glass Pro's challenge to other manufacturers.
for anyone that wants to know what the rela glasspro is like look at this from another forum

Ok, we'll start on vertical repairs on busses and rvs for starters. Then we'll do speed repairs for times, then we'll do repairs on vehicles that have been rained on within last six hours and we'll do it will medium grade resins only. :D

"You're on home boy. When I make a fool out of your copy cat system, I'll release the results to the world. If you don't already know it, GT copied the idea from us and the copy cat is a feeble replica of the best tool. Get a life and start acting like a man."
First of all, GT's system is not a copy, and is so much better than anyone else's. Second, people on this forum thought i was getting personal. This is the person youre dealing with folks, when you deal with Glasspro. They are a small company. the character of the owner is VERY relevant. you could have the best system in the world, but when you treat customers/people like &#$^, it doesnt matter. As ive said before, if this is how he acts on open forums, how will he act when you find out the brand new system you just bught isnt better than GT?
eraser:
Do not message me again. All i did was bring up what you have said in the past.

This seemed an interesting thread. Did this contest ever took place?
