Why isn't anyone talking about State Farms pulling out of the repair business????
Is everyone braindead??? State farm is statring to pull out of the repair business starting in DEC. of this year. Soon I believe they will pull out of replacement as well.
Do anyone think this will help our business????
Also the NGA is gonna push for us to get a state license to perform repairs, this will eliminate all those fly by nights, don't you think???
Please respond to my poll question " Is State Farm getting out of the repair business good?

My take is they finally realized that paying out at $50 for repairs was a waste of their money due to the frequency of bad repairs in almost every market. They know that the costs of quality control measures don't really justify the effort. But when it's up to policyholder to pay out of their pocket, then THEY will make sure it's a good job. Think about it; that's why most people don't know squat about wsr - because they don't have to pay for it and therefore, they don't know how to shop carefully for it.

When the insurance companies stop paying for repairs then it wil go back to the way it was.. and all the dead beat hacks will get out of business an let us do the work we do best. I lizzerds jumped in just to say they repair and all most of them want to do is replace it for more money. We have three in this town pulling the "bait and switch" game with the Incsurance companies.

This will just thin out the shops that are spoon feed with Insrance claims, not off their rep.

Whe I started 14 years ago, there was 3 shops, now there are over a dozzen.

That peice of pie just gets smaller every year with the F'n hacks.

It hasn't really effected our business here in OK. as of yet really. I haven't seen any drop in business since SF dropped the paying the deduct. deal. Not to mention, most don't mind paying cash for a good, quality job that we guarantee for life as long as that person owns the vehicle.
