Is anyone having a problem with SGC paying less than was quoted on the fax?

Quoted a price of $63.00 but only paid $53.00 and refused to honor the quoted price.

You need to contact Safelite and ask them why they did not honor the amount they agreed on. It may be something simple like you forgot to add the addional repair to the original request? You can contact them via the web at

Sunshine...I have contacted SGC regarding this matter. Despite my repeated efforts to get them to pay me the amount agreed upon in the fax, they have steadfastly refused. I consider this to be a breach of contract and am elevating this dispute to the Insurance Company with an info copy to the state Insurance Commission. We need to take a stand for our industry.

After my email to the Insurance Company (I can now identify them as Kemper), I got a call from SGC today and they have agreed to pay me the balance of $10.00. A gentleman by the name of Sy called me and stated that it would be deposited to my account by EFT. Sy was the most polite person that I have ever encountered at SGC.

After I see the deposit in my account, I told him that I would forego mailing the info package to the Insurance Comissioner...I will keep it in my files for future use if needed.

Stand your ground folks and be persistent----we need to be paid fully for our services. The insurance companies will trigger their contractors...they don't need the bad publicity!

Good to see SGC come through for you.

Yep...the EFT was posted to my account. Thanks SY. I will now place my info in the file and hope that there will be no need for it in the future.
