invoicing insurance companies in the UK

Hi Guys,

I am thinking about starting a windshield repair business here in the UK. Could anyone plz enlighten me regarding how you go about invoicing insurance companies. Seeing as we have no kind of network here in the UK i realize it has to be direct, but do you have to be an insurance approved repairer? This is the only aspect of the business that i am finding it difficult to find info about.

I would be very grateful for any feedback.
