How many glass polishers would you say are out there in the US? Of the ones that do polish, what systems are being used?
I use Glas Weld for instance. I would like to speak with a GT scratch hog tech if possible. Let us know what system you are all using.
Thanks Gary

This should be a eye opener for all of you about scratch removal. Consider this service because as you can tell there are not many of us in it. I do it full time now its one of the best trades I have ever learned.

How does the Glass removal system you currently use work? Is it fast?

I know this is not going to come off right on a forum so I appologize first but your question is way to broad. That's like me asking you if your car is fast. Your response back to me would be, "compared to what"?
After nine years of polishing my experience would make me answer no. I depends on what your doing now. For someone starting out it will take you a while to just get it, if you ever do then speed will come. A lot of people buy these different systems and just give up from frustration. Its not easy and its manual labor but if you stay with it you won't regret it.

I am not sure what it is you want to discuss about the different scratch systems. Your company sells one type and I'm sure you are aware of the other two types( Novus/Autostock/SRP and GW) . Each one has its pros and cons. The funny thing about each of them is that if used just the way they are sold from the company out of the box without any customization, you would go hungry. I have tweeked the Gw system to be more proficent as other have done with both the SRP and everyone who has done it said they had to make a change. I use the least aggresive system of them all with GW but am sensing a need for the ability to be more aggresive and get deeper scratches.
Discussing the different scratch systems would be like us talking about who makes a better truck, Ford or Chevy its all personal preference. It seems like your focus is on the system and mine is on the service in general. That's why I rarely get on these forums because it usually goes the same way of, my tool is better then yours, when it should be how can we all do this scratch removal thing better and faster. That is my desire in the future to bring all the glass polishers out there together on one forum and share information as location allows.

Have you ever used the Scratch Hog or are you just interested in developing your own methods?
