I am thinking of getting into replacement. I would hire someone to do the installs.
The big question is. Is there any money in relacement after hiring someone and having a store front with a double bay?

I have been asked so many times to get into replacing and I am thinking heavy on it. Get the wife and myself into it with an auto installer and I keep doing the repairs and headlights, she can do the books and appointments and repairs in a pinch.

My wife may be able to get funding for her disability to help branch out.

Wife: Female/Handycap/owner.

Myself: Male/ Handycap/owner.

Just thinking, is it worth getting into it or is there no money in it?
Any help from ones in the replacement already.

Don.

you may have trouble starting out if you cannot install. finding an installer who can do everything on his own with any kind of quality will cost you at least $20/hr. and if that one guy calls in sick you are in trouble.

Thanks for your response. I have been talking to installers in our area and most get paid by the job. One works for safelite and all they provide him with is the van and jobs, he provides the tools to fill the van with what he likes to work with. He gets 30.00 per job...

Thanks for your input.
