Hi, I own a 1976 Mercedes 240D and over time, my glass has become harder to see through. The glass seems old but at a closer glance it seems as if there is some particles inside the glass. I am sure it is not on the outsides of the glass because after cleaning it, it still seems dirty. If someone could tell me what is happening and what I can do to make my glass clear again, I would greatly appreciate it. If there is also a product you recommend in restoring glass windshields such as mine I would also appreciate it.
Thanks for all you help,
Shawn

Is the damage consistent over the whole surface? Explain the damage a bit more.

The unclarity consisted of deep-in particles and permanent well compacted water-spots covering all over the front windshield. The only other windshield with this problem is the rear, which only seems to have the water-spots on the outside. I'm not to worried about the front because it will be replaced due to a crack, but I would like to know how to remove the water-spots on the back. If it helps, the particles give off an intense glare when in the sunlight, yet the water-spots can only be seen up-close.
Thanks again,
Shawn

For this application it seems as though the only thing that would need to be done the a polishing treatment on the glass. Glass Technology has a product called Diamond Clear Polish, they can also supply an application pad. The repair should be an easy fix though.
