Hi,
Has anyone worked on a repair where the windshield has been treated with Diamond Fusion? They claim it to be a bit more than just a hydrophobic treatment, the treatment apparently also prevents glass chips??
I have lately been getting repairs where the resin runs off the undamaged glass like water off a ducks back. The damaged areas are easy to fix, as I always lightly drill out "old" impact points to expose new clean glass but have seen some damage which suspiciously looks like some glass "treatment" has entered the legs, together with some dirt. I was shown a satchel of the stuff (double step process) and told that it would stop chips and there is a DVD that shows glass not breaking when shot with a pellet gun after the wipe on treatment!!!
