Plastic Headlight Polishing

I have noticed some polycarbonate (plastic) headlights have a very hard thin surface coating which I understand is the manufactuers UV protection layer.

In order to get the best results using the PolyHog kit is it necessary to remove all of this coating before polishing?

Yes, you will have to remove the sealer that the manufactor has on and replace it with another. When you do that keep a UV protector like a good car polish you would use on your car and polish your lights.
