In an effort to make this forum somewhere that folks can find a cohesive thread when they are looking for an answer to a question, please add any posts to this space that aren't relevant to the actual topic that someone created a thread for. In example, if you wish to joke around, banter back and forth, or hint at the fact that it seems "empty," please do so in this thread. Starting now, I will be moving all unrelated posts from other threads that are not relevant to their topic to this thread.
When I do move a post to this thread, I will remind the user whose post needed to be moved via private message why their post was relocated.
If it remains a problem, and if a user seems to be consistently abusing the forum by adding nonsense to a thread where someone is legitimately looking for an answer to a problem, the user will be banned. Don't worry, plenty of warnings will be issued before a ban is put into place. Also, it will start with a temporary ban the first time. If a user needs to be banned a second time, it will be permanent.
It is not my intention to eliminate "coffee talk" or "Water Cooler" conversations; but rather, I intend to create an environment where readers don't get frustrated by having to scroll through a bunch of non-related posts to get to useful suggestions when they are looking for them. I also think "coffee talk" and "water cooler conversations" have their rightful place. It's nice to just shoot the ____ on occasion, but it can get in the way if you are looking for an answer to a particular problem--so let's all stay on point from now on.
We appreciate all forum user's input, and this is why we try to allow all posts to be posted. This of course is within reason, as we do not want any slandering or blatant advertising here. But if you have personal experience with a product, you are welcome to talk about it, as long as you aren't trying to "sell" it. We're happy to hear feedback, but this is not the place for marketing your product. Glass Technology will try to provide information about our products, as we know them well, but we will refrain from making sales pitches.
